Darren Morze is an award-winning composer for film, television, and podcasts, known for his innovative soundscapes and emotionally resonant scores. He is the BMI Award-winning composer of the Emmy-nominated Netflix documentary The Greatest Night in Pop and has also scored the BAFTA-nominated drama Mass, the viral cult horror The Mouse Trap, and the neo-Western The Last Victim starring Ron Perlman.

Darren’s film work includes projects with A24 (The Vanishing of Sidney Hall with Elle Fanning and Logan Lerman), as well as acclaimed indie titles such as Dark Was the Night, Front Cover, and Enter Nowhere. His television credits span the mini-series Age of the Living Dead and American Tourist: Nightmare in Thailand.

In the podcast world, Darren is behind the music of Signal Award-winning narrative series including American Hostage (starring Jon Hamm), The Foxes of Hydesville (starring Carey Mulligan and McKenna Grace), and the Webby Award-winning Black Box, which featured voice talent like Joel McHale and Kelsey Grammer.

Before composing for screen, Darren toured globally as a musician and live sound engineer with acts such as Dr. Dog, The Killers, Jane’s Addiction, Placebo, and stellastarr*. His scoring career launched with Curfew, the Oscar-winning short film by stellastarr* frontman Shawn Christensen, which won over 40 international film festival awards before taking home the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short. Since then, Darren has scored more than 150 projects spanning film, television, narrative audio, modern dance, and multimedia installations.

Known for pushing creative boundaries, Darren blends electronic textures, ambient noise, and unconventional instrumentation to craft distinct, immersive musical experiences. He is also a performer and collaborator with the experimental multimedia collective Mecha Sonic Sessions.
